Photo shoot Saturday 14th March assemble at 12:30pm at Goodmayes store, photo at 12:45pm Give us a GP surgery at the Tesco Toxic Towers!

While the campaign is committed to stopping the Tesco Toxic Towers. We would expect a GP surgery to be in the new plan, if we cannot stop it via Judicial Review.  However, the prospects for a new GP surgery have been called into question by correspondence between BHRUT and Redbridge Council. The is a minute from the January 2026 BHRUT board meeting published last week. Redbridge Council wrote back to BHRUT on the day of meeting refusing to whether Redbridge is seeking  section health106 funding from Tesco/Weston Homes for a new GP surgery. Redbridge refuse to say why a decision on the proposed Tesco development has been delayed until the 30th June. However, until a statement is issued by Labour, residents are bound to speculate that the development decision date has been pushed back to 30th June so the any bad news about not having a GP facility on the site will not be know before the Council elections in May. Letter to hand in on the day to follow.
