Jessica has her say when signing the petition "This is just another way to get multi millionaires to invest in property"
Jessica wrote a moving comment when signing the petition yesterday.
"I feel very strongly about this as I live in the area and have also at the end of my interior design architecture degree and chose to study high rise towers for my dissertation, the amount of information I discovered was awful. This is just another way to get multi millionaires to invest in property, hiding money away and causing those who can't afford to live in the areas they have known their whole lives. London is growing for the rich. Pushing out the working class and even middle class. You only have to look at Barkings 360 tower to get an idea. No social housing. This is more then just gentrification. Newham council have even sold land in an expo to China to sell up social housing land already used in order to re develop for "affordable homes" moving out those living their to areas further north as they have no choice. There is so much more behind closed doors into this that's going on. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. This shouldn't be happening and the pollution is just one massive aspect that needs to be considered let alone the impact on the area and people living here!
