Dear Residents 2nd June 2020
Zoom Stop the Tesco Toxic Towers Campaign Meeting Thursday 4th June 8:00pm:
Meeting ID 858 3618 9868
Meeting Password 168551
All welcome to join the meeting.
Keith Prince AM attended our last meeting and made a welcome commitment to write to Tesco’s about sending him the air quality reports at local schools. Sam Tarry MP has been invited to the meeting this Thursday. Last week we agreed to sent up a Crowdfunding site to commission Professor Peckham to produce our own air quality report. This has been done today, I am waiting for more testimonials before promoting the site. Ideas on how to raise the £3600 are welcome to be emailed before or on the night. This may sound a daunting sum, but other campaigns have raised similar sums and more. Professor Peckham’s work at the Court of Appeal last year was instrumental to a development being stopped (1). The colour leaflet is almost ready to go to the printers, all the quotes are great, this one from Peter Baker
When you stand at the junction of Barley Lane and Seven Kings High road you can taste the pollution. A population increase of the size of the proposed Tesco development will not only make matters worse for existing neighbours , but also for new residents in their  tower block roof gardens who will also have to breathe it. Why would you put so many people at risk.”

  1. When are we going to learn that putting more and more people into even smaller spaces will lead to frustrations lower quality of life with yet even further demands upon the limited info structure, schools hospitals libraries and such.
    And for what???
Certainly not for the benefit of local residents.....ask yourself is this density of housing improving the area or not.
With the additional council tax revenue coming in from these properties is it going to be reduced.....very much doubt it.
    Enough said.
Ghettos, crime, drugs will certainly follow.....enough is enough......STOP THIS NOW
