Notice of next meeting on 28th January & Draft letter to Tescos
A key item for our next meeting at 8pm on 28th January will be writing to Tescos to seek a meeting. A draft letter is below, I have written to our elected representatives inviting them to attend and requesting their views on the letter per the below.
Dear Sam, Keith & Bob
I hope you are all well. The next Reclaim Redbridge focusing on stopping the Tesco Toxic Towers application takes place on Thursday 28th January the zoom link is at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88479701896 You are welcome to attend and or if you cannot make it perhaps send a statement.
At the last meeting we agreed to write to Tescos to seek a meeting to discuss our concerns. A draft of the letter follows:
Dear Chief Executive
We are supporters of the stop the Tesco Toxic Towers campaign regarding your planned development in Goodmayes. We seek a zoom meeting with one of your senior executives to explain our concerns as to why we say the development will be toxic for our community.
Regards ENDS LETTER
The idea is to write to Tescos on the 29th and get as many shares on the internet as possible. If enough shares are achieved my hope is the Recorder will cover the letter and contact Tescos for a comment.
If any/all of you were prepared to host the letter on your sites we are almost certain to get media coverage. I do stress the letter is a draft, I am sure the campaign team will accept any letter you draft to Tescos seeking a meeting.
This email will go up on the Stop the Tesco Toxic Towers site. I hope to hear from you later.
Regards
Andy
Thanks for your effort. Could you let me know how I can get notification as I am not in your mailing list?
