Canvassing Chadwell Primary School for support

Campaign supporters gave out flyers yesterday outside Chadwell primary school, looking for support for the campaign asking the Mayor to call in the Tesco application.

The following email was sent to Chadwell Primary School yesterday:

Dear Sir or Madam
Dear Sir or Madam

Earlier today, supporters of the stop the Tesco toxic towers campaign were leafleting outside your school. We were seeking support for Sadiq Khan to call in, this means to review, the Tesco application which was passed on 27th May by Redbridge council.

I am delighted to report that following a request from Paul Scott, Siân Berry the Green Party GLA member, has become the first senior politician to back the campaign for the Mayor to call in the application.

Siân's letter to the Mayor is available to read at the following link: https://stopthetescotoxictowers.blogspot.com/2021/06/great-news-sian-berry-asks-sadiq-khan.html?m=1

Your objection to the Tesco application was very welcome. It would be much appreciated if you could forward this email to your head and chair in case your governing body wishes to support the campaign for the Mayor to intervene. The Campaign will attempt to get senior politicians to call for the mayor to intervene, along with local school governing bodies, trade unions, and residents associations. This will build a powerful coalition of public opinion calling on the Mayor to intervene.
