Lobbying elected representatives for a campaign meeting
I emailed this invite to Sam Tarry MP, Keith Prince AM, and supportive councillors yesterday.
Dear All
Further to my email below, I have had an email from Anna in the planning department to say the 14 day period for the Mayor to make a decision on whether to call in the application starts when the 106 agreement is agreed and sent to the Mayor. This suggests we have a more time than I originally thought to lobby the Mayor.
The stop the Tesco Toxic Towers group met last night and agreed to organise a meeting in the Barley Lane park at 8pm one week day evening. This will be subject to Council permission and passing a C-19 risk assessment.
If you would like to speak please could you select a date in the week commencing 12th July.
Hope you can understand time is pressing so I would be grateful for a reply by 5pm tomorrow as to which day is best for you, if any.
Should elected representatives in Redbridge come on board, it is hoped Mr Baily and Ms Berry would support us too with a view of gaining a broad support for the Mayor to call in the Tesco application. Cross party support will be very helpful if a legal challenge is organised later.
Regards
Andy
