Cllr Athwal is wrong to imply Councillors can't write to Mayor re the Tesco Toxic Towers
I have written to all Redbridge Councillors per the below:
Dear Councillors
On 13th January 2022 I asked Cllr Athwal if he would write to Sadiq Khan requesting he call in the Tesco Toxic Towers and the Homebase Horror. Cllr Athwal refused per the video below. I pointed out that according to Zoopla house prices were declining in the last six months and school rolls were dropping per the pics below. The draft minute pictured is from a January 2022 Redbridge Schools forum meeting, the council banned me from recording the meeting so I did not attend.
Despite what Cllr Athwal says you have the right to write to Sadiq Khan requesting he call in these two developments.
Should you decide to do so I would be grateful if you could copy me in. Goodmayes Councillors would appear to have a duty to write in as Cllr Zammett said at the May 2021 application meeting for the Tesco Toxic Towers that they wanted a pause in the application to allow a feasibility study to be made into a new slip road.
The photos below are from our December 2021 photo shoot encouraging Councillors to attend.
The video and pics are also at my twitter account @andywalker1945.
Regards
Andy
