Sadiq Khan to make his decision about the Tesco Toxic Towers on Monday 7 March.
I have had an email from the GLA today to say Sadiq Khan will make his decision on 7th March. The GLA allows comments at Register but currently provides none of the documentation sent to the GLA by Redbridge.
Redbridge have kindly sent the 106 agreement which is at 106 The 106 agreement are benefits Tesco and Weston will give to the Council for exchange for being given permission to build.
I have not read the document in detail as yet but I cannot believe the Council will enforce any of the guarantees written into the agreement.
Harrison House in Goodmayes is a recent development, the Council signed it off for sale, but the road surface remains unfinished and a trip hazard. Redbridge cannot enforce even the most basic health and safety rules on developers so I have no confidence that the complicated agreement with Tescos will be enforced.
