Dear Patrick Allen

Re: Walker v Redbridge Council Judicial Review

I have been delighted with Jack’s help with the above case. It was commendable that Jack and others worked hard at short notice to compile a bundle over a weekend. The name recognition of Hodge and your success representing the family of the late Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah have been central to our campaign and crowdfunding efforts.

I had a phone call from Jack yesterday to say that he is leaving your firm along with another colleague and as a consequence your firm will no longer be able to represent us.

Can this decision be reviewed please? This case is at a particularly sensitive moment for two reasons. Firstly, the decision on the application on paper for permission for a full hearing will be delivered soon. Secondly, your firm is also doing splendid work fighting an unlimited costs application by Redbridge Council and a £35K application from Weston Homes.

I understand your firm will no longer be dealing with planning cases but I would be grateful if a means can be explored of allowing Hodge to continue with this case even if only until the issues of permission for a full hearing and the costs applications are resolved.

Regards

Andy Walker
