Tesco is partially funding the school at the heart of our Judicial Review

Tesco appears to be part funding the proposed school which is central to our Judicial review. The draft 106 available is available at 106 Agreement shows Tesco support for the school. Tesco financial connection to the proposed school gives them an opportunity to step in and ask Redbridge for the school to re-located inside the development or at the very least provide the best air quality filters to protect children from toxic air. The flats beside the school have air pollution filters to the 7th floor to protect the children so it only fair that the school has  pollution protection too.

One of many studies linking air pollution to asthma is:

Proximity to Major Roadways and Asthma Symptoms in the School Inner-City Asthma Study

at

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6949366/

stating

"Our findings provide substantial evidence that major roadway proximity plays an important role in asthma morbidity in inner-city school children. These findings suggest that exposure reduction strategies at the home and potentially at the school level may have broad and substantial health benefits for children. Further studies are warranted especially to evaluate the impact of school traffic proximity on asthma morbidity."

This shows why the school should be moved into the development or at least provided with air filters.
