Dear Residents
Redbridge Cabinet meeting Tuesday 18th April 7:15pm
This meeting is an opportunity for residents to raise issues about
the Tesco Toxic Towers or concerns about pollution arising from the Homebase
construction.
Tesco Toxic Towers
Our application for permission for judicial review at the court of
appeal has been lodged. Questions from the public relating to the appeal will
be helpful to our campaign.
Homebase Horror construction pollution hazard for residents
I term the site a “horror” because it is in such a horrible
location between Crossrail and the High Road. There is a photo at the above
address of residents outside the site showing their concerns about dust, noise
and vibration pollution.
So far, Cllr Athwal is refusing to disclose the dust management
plan, nor is the site manager willing to meet with residents to discuss the situation.
Questions from the public relating to the pollution caused by the Homebase construction
site will help the campaign for a better deal for residents.
If we cannot get the dust management plan nor achieve a meeting
with the site manager it will not bode well for efforts to mitigate pollution
caused by other sites planned locally so any support by sharing this newsletter
will be welcome.
Standing orders at meetings
Standing orders are the rules which govern which questions are permissible
at Council meetings. Should you wish to ask a question please contact Andy to
make sure any question you might like to ask is within the standing orders.
Regards
Andy
