Dear Residents
Photoshoot outside Sam Tarry’s Office 6
Mildmay Road,
Ilford,1G1 1DT 7pm Tuesday 9th May
Sam Tarry MP has ignored a request made in January to meet the
Tesco Toxic Towers campaign team so we could make the case for why he, like
Keith Prince, our elected GLA representative, should back our judicial review.
In an effort to persuade Sam to back our judicial review our
campaign team met on the 2nd May and is asking supporters to be
outside his office at the above time to deliver a letter asking him to support
us.
Sam’s support is important, because if he says the proposed
school should be inside the proposed development, it will allow the campaign
team to write again to Mayor Khan to seek his support saying he should follow
Sam’s example.
The Mayor is an interested party to the Judicial Review, should the
Mayor write to the court it may be all the difference between winning or losing
the judicial review.
Winning on the school point means a new application and a substantial
delay to commencing works as a new application would need to go to a planning
committee.
If you cannot make the photo shoot it would be appreciated if
you could write to Sam at sam.tarry.mp@parliament.uk
asking him to support our judicial review.
The Court of Appeal is due to make a judgement on our
application for permission in the near future.
Regards
Andy Walker
