Dear
Residents
Residents public meeting: 8pm Monday 16th October at Methodist
Church Hall, Percy Road IG3 8UA:
We will discuss the campaigns to stop the High Rise on the High
Road, and the new wing for King George for the return of maternity to Redbridge
and more in-patient beds to cope with our ever-growing population along with
other issues discussed at our September meeting.
Pavements
Following a discussion about local paving at our last meeting we
will be attending the next Redbridge cabinet meeting. The cabinet meeting takes
place at 7:15pm at Ilford Town Hall on 19th October.
The UK has signed the Aarhus convention which gives residents
the right to environmental information, including the built environment.
Unlike freedom of information regulations, environmental
information requests can be made verbally. We will test this at the cabinet
regarding maintenance information about local pavements. Should you be interested
in intending the cabinet meeting please contact Andy for further information.
High Rise Mystery
Well done to Paul Scott for spotting the application for 837
future High Rise slums at Sainsburys Roden Street in Ilford has been withdrawn
on the GLA site reference 2327/22.
However, the Redbridge Council site does not list the
application as being withdrawn. I hope to have further news on this by our
meeting on the 16th
October.
Regards
Andy Walker
